Capcom announced yesterday that when there upcoming title Dragon's Dogma releases on May 22, 2012, those who purchase the game will have the opportunity to be the first to experience a playable demo of Resident Evil 6, ahead of its release on Nov. 20, 2012. This very exciting and a perfect tie in for the new Resident Evil movie. Xbox 360 owners will get to play the demo earlier when they purchase Dragon's Dogma. Check out more details below from Capcom: Retail versions of Dragon’s Dogma will contain a redeemable token that will allow owners to download the Resident Evil 6 demo. Purchasers of the Xbox 360 version of Dragon’s Dogma will be able to redeem this token and download the Resident Evil 6 demo globally on the Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for Xbox 360 60 days earlier than any other platform starting on July 3. The demo for owners of the PlayStation®3 system version of Dragon’s Dogma will go live on the PlayStation®Store on Sept. 4 in North America and Japan and Sept. 5 in Europe. | |

According to executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Resident Evil 6 will be the biggest game Capcom has ever undergone. "This is by far the largest scale production Capcom has ever embarked on," executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi said in the trailer below. "Between the 150 staff members in Japan and everyone around the world, we have more than 600 people involved." | |

There are going to be three playable characters. The first character of the game is a mercenary and sections of his game take place in Eastern Europe where the mutants are running wild.
Chris's part of the game will take place in a China in the fictional village of Lanshiang, where is apparently recovering from a "personal trauma". His partner Helena Harper, a government agent tasked with protecting the President.
A new mutation of zombie, known as J'avo, has also been detailed. Described as "incredibly aggressive", the new monster will be able to regenerate. But if it sustains serious damage, it is able to mutate the damaged limb into "a number of varied forms," forcing the player to rethink their approach.
The new control system Capcom described will allow players to shoot while moving, as well as take cover and slide to cover. | |
