So I'm trying to get back in the swing of things, and I'll start out with this: What is you favorite Halloween movie? Since October 1st, I have been watching horror movies, good and bad. Here's what I've seen so far: Paranormal Activity - I really enjoyed the entire trilogy, but it's one of those movies that you either love or hate--I can't recommend or hate it. Paranormal Activity 3 - See my above comment. Tales From the Darkside - Man I wish this genre wasn't dead--but it is. The "collection of crazy stories tied together by another crazy story" movie. Buster Poindexter in the Black Cat segment steals the show. People Under the Stairs - Not for everyone, but this is a guilty pleasure of mine. One thing I loved about Wes Craven when I was a kid, he was always willing to take a chance with some wierd ass ideas for movies. Serpent and the Rainbow comes to mind... Fly 2 - Not everyone loves this, but I do. AWESOME gore for the time plus Princess Vespa from Spaceballs? A classic! Timex takes a licking, and keeps on ticking! From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter Red State - Ahh the much discussed Kevin Smith "horror" flick. I really enjoyed it, and loved the ending. But know this going it--this is not a horror movie--this is like a mean spirited Coen brothers film. The Perfect Host - Great flick! Don't go into this expecting a high body count, but it's a great cat an mouse thriller. The Ward - Oh man Amber Heard is smoking hot. Decent outing for John Carpenter, but I feel like he's stuck in the past. Every scare has the cliched loud bang, and the ending is pretty overdone. The rating on IMDB is pretty appropriate--average. Bloodlust Zombies - God damn aweful. Not bad in a good way, bad in a bad way. Waxwork - How did I never see this before? What a bad ass 80's horror flick!! This movie is highly recommended, and stars the guy from Gremlins. Oh yeah, and David Boom Boom Werner. End of Days - You might be wondering why I'm not watching more well known classics. Thruth is, I watch that stuff every other month. Halloween is a great time to check out the flicks you might not think of watching. His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th - Incredible documentary hosted by Tom Savini. If you really love the Vorhees legend, you have to check this out. Hell Night - This little farce stars Linda Blair of Exorcist fame. Stick to the Exorcist.

How was Laid To Rest 2? I really liked the first one, and I was wondering what you thought Jimmy. And keep adding to your list from now to Halloween!

It was good! I liked the mystery of Chrome Skull in the first one better but the gore is ten times better in 2. Now when I say mystery and without spoiling too much, it's no secret in 2 that ChromeSkull is part of an organization and he is bread to kill. This is a cool concept and it keeps it fresh from 1, however, I just found myself liking the mystery behind his character more. But still bad ass gore flick with a twist story and an ending that will have you wanting more Chromeskull 6 1/2 out 10

The Amittyville Horror Collection (BTW $9.99 right now at Best Buy!) Them (Old school Black and White horror at it's best from 1954) Twilight Zone Season 1 (This series was WAY ahead of it's time and it's influences can be seen in many many modern day films)

Evil Dead 2 ("Work Shed") TonyB, I noticed you watched WaxWork (one of my personal favorites!), glad to see you enjoyed it. If you get a chance totally watch the sequel WaxWork II: Lost in Time, it's not as good as the first but still worth a watch and it has our boy Bruce Campbell in it

Yeah, I had never seen Waxwork, and I REALLY enjoyed it. Halloween - It still holds up. The all time classic slasher flick. Halloween 3: Season of the Witch - Sure, in hindsight, this movie is not well remembered. But when this came out, they thought they were done with Mike Myers, and the Halloween series would become a different story each year. That didn't work out, but I do love me some Tom Atkins. Army of Darkness - Thanks everyone for coming with me to see this in the theater--I had a great time! House of Wax - Why god, why did I watch this. Sure, you get to see Paris Hilton die, but who wants to watch her in a movie for 30 minutes anyways? Watch the original, the 2005 version sucked ass. Friday the 13th - Ahh, now I'm getting to it. KILL HER MOMMY KILL HER!!! Oh I will Jason, I will. Indeed. Jason X - Jason in SPAAAACE! Great movie. Ghostbusters - Watched this with the kids for the first time. I love it when my kids can love a movie I loved as a kid Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers - it's ok. I kinda wished Michael stayed dead after the first 2 flicks. Slither - This is in my top 5 favorite horror flicks of all time--a MUST see. Dracula: Prince of Darkness - had to watch some old school Hammer flick. Dracula Has Risen From the Grave - Man the blonde in here is SMOKING hot. Classic 70's horror! 30 - Night of the Living Dead - The original is still the best. 31 - Hellboy - I love the Mike Mignolia comics, and this is one of the better comic book adaptations. 32 - The Frighteners - Peter Jackson casts Michael J Fox against type in this amazing comedy horror. If you haven'r seen it, you are missing out. Holy crap I made it! 31+ horror flicks in the month of October. Happy Halloween everyone!!

Army of Darkness The Silence of the Lambs (It rubs the lotion on it's skin or else it gets the hose again, it does this whenever it's told. Put the Fu**in lotion in the basket!!! Haha. Ted Levine, one of the greatest pychopaths in horror history)
