The old thread is retired, and can be found HERE.

Since that thread got monstrous, 2 more "what are you playing" threads have been added.  (What PC game are you playing?  What retro game are you playing?)

For 2011, what are you playing?

Even though it's download only.  I have been playing a lot of Castle Crashers the past couple of weeks.  If you have not checked this game out and are looking for a classic feeling arcade game, then allow me to recommend this title.

There have been a couple games coming up on my radar.  First off LEGO Pirates is on its way to me and I can't wait to play it.  I still think LEGO Lord of the Rings would be awesome.

Two games I have taken an interest in lately are Skyrim and Hunted.  They both look like they could be a lot of fun.  Does anyone have any thoughts on those 2 titles?

I have been really enjoying the new Mortal Kombat game.  Almost played all the way through story mode in one night.  Thought it was well put together minus one part.  Not saying anything because I don't want to ruin it for other people.

But if you have ever been a fan of the series, I highly recommend picking this game up.

Damn, I wish I haven't been so busy, I haven't even played Portal 2 yet :( Mortal Kombat is epic, I can't wait to to get some more gameplay in. Hey PizzaNinja did you notice if Kintaro is playable in Mortal Kombat?

Daggerdale was a game I was pretty excited to see.  It's a D&D game based on 4th edition rules.  Unfortunately the game is getting terrible reviews.  I will probably see if I can download a demo for the game.  If anyone has played it and is enjoying please let me know.  I would like to hear thoughts on this game before I track it down.

I did not see if Kintaro was playable.  I have been too busy being intrigued by the story mode and overall gameplay.  I will let you know as I play more of this title.

It looks like Kintaro is not a playable character at this time.  I finished the story mode in Mortal Kombat last night.  Right now just bouncing between a few different games.

Now that the PSN Network is coming back up this week--HOPEFULLY!!!  I am looking to pick up a PS3 and play some Disgaea 3.  I love me some NIS strategy RPG's.

Decided to pick up Dungeon Hunter on PS3.  So far I really like it.  The only thing I don't like is the load times between areas.  Other than that I would say if you like Diablo clones you might think about checking this out.

Borderlands. Fun game. Especially with all the DLC they cranked out for it.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow DLC. Good stuff, a bit too over priced though. I'm also playing Catherine here and there.

I am ready to start playing LOTR: War in the North!  It comes out on November 1st.  Should be fun.  I will keep people posted if I think it is good or not.

Sounds awesome!!! Please be sure to let us know your thoughts on the game. I've been playing Rise of Nightmares for Kinect and I'm getting ready to sit down with some Deus Ex Human Revolution =)

Just sat down for 2 hours with LOTR: War in the North.  Overall REALLY enjoying the game.  Thank you Snowblind for making a good LOTR game.  No it's not just good because of the M rating.  It reminds me very much of the Champion of Norrath games that were made for PS2.

A couple complaints I have so far and mind you I just kind of jumped into the story.

1. Not much character customization, however new weapons and armor are shown on the characters which is always cool :)

2. The voice acting, story, and options in conversations are just so-so.

But just playing for a few hours so far I am very much enjoying this title.  The aiming for firing arrows and magic is not terrible so thumbs up there.  I haven't tried multi-player yet so if anyone is interested in trying it out with me just let me know.  If anyone else picks this up let me know what you think.

Nice! Thanks for the feedback. I saw the collectors edition on Xbox 360 that has arrows and the sheath for them, it is sooo bad ass!!! I wanna buy it when I get some extra cash. So curious, how far does Snowblind push the M rating? Also where does the story take place in the LOTR universe? Thanks PizzaNinja.
