There is some great music in both "The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena" and "The Darkness" (especially with the end titles), both made by Starbreeze Studios. If they ever release CDs of the original score from both games I would so go after them.

Then there is all of the "Hitman" games, done by Jesper Kyd. Wonderful stuff and I have been fortunate to acquire the original scores to all four of those games. And if I ever find the CD for the score of "Freedom Fighters"  I would get that too. It's a shame though that he has not released a CD of his "MDK2" score.

As for older stuff, I really liked most of the music from "GoldenEye" and "Perfect Dark" (both the original and X360 remake). And I was very impressed by the music from "Turok 2: Seeds of Evil".

I am also partial to the some of the radio stations featured in the GTA games but that is probably due to the fact that I have spent so much time with those games writing guides for them.

RARusk,

I agree with you man, Chronicles of Riddick featured some kick ass music that was very fitting for the game and movie it's based off. As for Goldeneye, well that stellar title did everything perfect down to the music as you have mentioned and the stellar sound effects. Are you excited for the Goldeneye remake?

P.S. TonyB, props for busting out Extreme-G and Bayou Billy! Awesome games man :)

Am I excited for the GoldenEye remake? No.

After what Nintendo did to stop the official remake of RareWare's classic N64 version I have very low expectations of this new version. Although it looks promising from what I have seen it is not what I want which is the the N64 remake. We'll see what happens when this new version is released.

The game totally has promise! The footage I've seen at E3 and such looks very faithful in many aspects while still kinda taking on a fresh approach. Since we are on the topic of Golden Eye I figured I would share this theme song opening from Golden Eye on the N64:

I second this, and I will wait for a LOT of reviews before it gets any of my money.
