Posted by Video Game Saga on February 25, 2010 at 7:52 PM

Yesterday February 24th was an exciting day for Nintendo fans across the nation, Nintendo hosted there Summit meeting in Downtown San Francisco. Attendees had the awesome opportunity to play two of Nintendo's most anticipated titles, Metroid Other M and Super Mario Galaxy 2. Also, Nintendo released a new trailer for Super Mario Galaxy 2, check it out:

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this content.

Also, Nintendo made an exciting announcement that the Nintendo DSi XL will release on March 28, 2010. The new DSi model will sport a 93% larger screen, larger stylus pens, better viewing angles and come pre-installed with Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Math and Photo Clock, the DSi Web Browser and the highly addicting Flipnote application. The DSi XL will retail for $189.99 and come in two colors: Burgundy and Bronze.

Jim's 2 cents: I am blown away by the new trailer to Super Mario Galaxy 2, from the trailer it is certain that Nintendo has kept the old mix of goodies from the original and expanded upon it with new worlds, levels and characters. I love how you can use Yoshi's tongue to help you through the levels, it kinda reminds of the game play mechanic to Chameleon Twist on the Nintendo 64.

Metroid Other M, looks astonishing as usuall and those who had the honor of playing the demo had nothing but good things to say. With E3 coming up in June, it is safe to say those attending the big show will get there hands on the Summit meeting demos. I can't wait to play these demo at E3 and will be writing my full experience on them.

I love my DSi and downloading games from the DSi Shop, I have no problem spending $189.99 on the new DSi XL! The larger screens are going to be extremely nice! These are some very exciting announcements from Nintendo that has all us Nintendo junkies doing Mario flips.

I have not read much yet on the Multi-player features of Super Mario Galaxy 2 but more details are sure to surface especially with E3 coming up in June! The game has however been reported to be more challenging than the first and Miyamoto-San has stated the game will have less focus on the plot. I'm super excited for this SMG2!

Any word on if Mario Galaxy 2 will have a better 2 player system? I could see this being a great multi player and Wi Fi game for them.
