Video Game Saga *

Sega has just announced that they will release Sonic the Hedgehog Episode II for Xbox Live Arcade, PSN and mobile platforms in 2012. The game is a follow up to the highly successful Sonic the Hedgehog Episode 1 released earlier this year for digital download. The follow up will feature Sonic's orange fox buddy, Miles Tails Prower, as well as the "rebirth" as Sega calls it of Metal Sonic who will be the game's villain.The game will feature all-new character animations and a reworked physics engine. Episode II continues the story of Episode 1 and features new areas and challenges to face.

"After twenty years in action, it’s clear that Sonic hasn't slowed down one bit," said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. "The first entry in the Sonic 4 saga was a major success. We’ve listened to the fans and been hard at work making sure we recapture that same spirit of fun in Episode II. We hope the fans will enjoy it."
